Hickory Ridge

We were asked to build a custom kitchen for a homebuilder. As the homebuilder began to clear his property in preparation to build his home, he discovered he had wild cherry trees and asked us if we wanted them. We suggested that he use the wood from his own property to build his kitchen! We had the cherry trees milled on site into rough sawn lumber. We took the lumbar back to our wood shop and dried it. It takes approximately one year to dry wood, but we were able to speed it up to 6 months kiln dry. This kitchen was a farmhouse style kitchen. The homeowners chose a beautiful combination of painted wood and dark stained cabinetry.

Our kitchen is the heart of our home. We spend a huge amount of time in or around it and we find it so warm and inviting. James listened to what we were trying to achieve. He created a place we love to live in.
